Compare pricingYes. Upload an MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A, or OGG recording up to 3 minutes and 20 MB. We detect musical pitches and their timing, then arrange them into editable notation. Preview the score and listen before purchasing your downloads.
A clear recording of one pitched instrument, with little background noise and a steady tempo, is the best starting point. Single-instrument chords are supported. Dense full-band mixes, percussion, and recordings with several instruments are harder to transcribe and are not the intended workflow.
Audio contains sound, not the original notation. We estimate notes and rhythms; the original note spelling, voices, expressive markings, lyrics, and page layout cannot be recovered exactly. Set the recording’s tempo and time signature before converting, then refine the MusicXML in your notation editor.
Previewing is free. Downloads are $0.99 per started minute with a $1.99 minimum per recording, in USD before applicable taxes. A 30-second or 2-minute recording costs $1.99; a 2-minute-30-second recording costs $2.97. All available exports are included, and no account is needed to purchase. Audio purchases are separate from sheet-music page subscriptions.
Yes. Download MusicXML or compressed MusicXML (.mxl) and import it into your notation editor. MIDI, a printable PDF, and a synthesized MP3 of the transcription are also included in the same purchase.
Set the tempo in beats per minute to match your recording. Choose the time signature and the smallest note value you need, then create another free preview. Expressive timing and rubato may still need editing after import.
